    Can I use conditional logic to determine how many rows in a matrix will be visible?

    Asked by onewaytolive on February 04, 2014 at 04:34 AM

    I would like to be able to use conditional logic for a matrix. The number of rows visible will be determined from a drop down quantity list (from the Paypal fields). Is this possible?

    Also, can I change individual column widths eg. Address line column would be wider than postcode column.

    Many thanks for an excellent form service.

    Unfortunately, you cannot include the Matrix field rows in the condition logic. At most, you can only include the whole matrix field itself (for example, show/hide the Matrix field)

    As for the column width, you can customize them using injected CSS codes .

    Example CSS code:

    .form-matrix-values {padding-left: 5px !important;padding-right: 5px !important}

    /*---1st column width---*/

    .form-matrix-values .form-textbox {width: 50px;}

    /*---2nd column width---*/

    .form-matrix-values +.form-matrix-values .form-textbox {width: 250px;}

    /*---3rd column width---*/

    .form-matrix-values +.form-matrix-values +.form-matrix-values .form-textbox {width: 50px;}

    will make your Matrix look like this
