    How do I have a new tab on browser open when redirecting to paypal?

    Asked by averis on February 05, 2014 at 07:10 PM

    I have developed a registration form and have set the form up so if someone is paying by check, the form is submitted and they are then redirected to a custom url thank you on my website. This part works great!

    However, if they pay by credit card and are redirected to paypal, the same tab that the submission was on redirects to paypal. I would like a new browser tab to open and not sure how to do this or how to insert CSS code if needed. Also, can they receive a thank you if they submit the form and then it goes to paypal for payment? I know the submission is listed in my data, but they won't receive a thank you if they are redirected to paypal.

    Thank you!

    I did not include the URL as the form isn't live yet. If you need it, I can build it and then send it to you, but I don't think you need to see my page to answer my question. Thanks.

    This possible by adding target = "_blank" on the form tag line.

    Of course this will require using your form's source code embed.

    <form target = "_blank" class="jotform-form" action="http://submit.jotformpro.com/submit/123456789/" method="post" name="form_31045736566962" id="123456789" accept-charset="utf-8">

    Also, can they receive a thank you if they submit the form and then it goes to paypal for payment?

    I am not sure what you meant by this. If you were referring to the Thank You page after successfully completing the payment in Paypal screen, you can just assign a custom URL Thank You page in the form's Thank You page.

    Hope this help. Inform us if you need  further assistance.
