how do calculate the total price of the products my customers ordered

Asked by Donovan  on February 13, 2014 at 09:47 PM

    Hi,

This is Donovan. i'm currently trying to create a cash on delivery payment form. I have different category of product and different weights for each category. i tried using the payment tools but i couldnt categorize it and ended up with a long list of all my products instead. Now, i use headings so i could categorize my products but as a result, i'm unable to calculate the total price.

Please advice if there is a way to calculate total price or if preferable, able to use the payment tools and categorize my product.

i attached the url with the form.

    Hello Donovan,

If I understand your requirement correctly, you want to categorize your product list and then show the total price. Is that correct?

The following guide should help you on how to add categories in your product list:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/178-%20How-to-Have-a-Sub-Category-Groups-or-Sub-Labels-on-a-Purchase-Order-Form

    http://www.jotform.com/help/181-Using-Form-s-Source-Code-Collapse-Field-Add-Sub-Category-to-a-Purchase-Order-Form

It will make the product management and calculation easier for you. As the above guides uses payment tool, you can also use in built feature to show Total amount in your form.

If you do not want to add any payment tool in your form, you can take advantage of our "Calculate Field" feature to calculate the total price. The following guide should help you:  http://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-perform-calculation-in-the-form

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you!
