I am building the url for my thankyou page in a calculated field, so that each time one of the fields to be passed in the url is changed the thankyou page url gets modifed accordingly. I would like to be able to do this in a hidden field, so it would be nice to be able to use calculate within a hidden field.
I have a workaround, using a pair of form collapses around the field - but that is rather clumsy.

Let me add this thread to our feature request list. Unfortunately, I cannot say a timeframe and if there is a possibility that our developers would consider adding this in the future. You should be notified via this thread if there are progress.
For now, your workaround should work best for your purpose :)

Actually in some ways my work around might be easier. In fact it is a goos alternative to fields being defined as hidden. Because when debugging it can be useful to see the fields - so just go into JotForm and alter the state from closed to open.

Thanks very much. Is that a very newly added feature? I didn't notice it before.
Is this similar to using the hidden field widget?

Great, thank you.
Is there any possibility to automatically exclude these fields from autoresponse emails? I know that I can edit the field list for the email, but according to the on screen documentation, doing this prevents unfilled fields being omitted from the email automatically.

Ok, will do.
