    Not getting the email from jotform.

    Asked by jdestro on February 17, 2014 at 02:59 PM

    robert in my office is not getting his email submissions from the site.  Any reason it would just stop about 2 weeks ago?

    It works by picking the name of the recruiter at the bottom...

    I am getting my fine (joe Destro)

    Maybe something black listed him but not sure what to white list..  Its been a while since I set this up.

    I can see that everything looks fine y your notification, and I made sure your email address was not in our bounce list. I would recommend you to white-list our domain names if the issue persists. (We use Amazon SES method for "noreply@jotform.com" sender.)

    If you looked at my profile, you will see that we don't send the emails to
    the "noreply" address... We use the persons email address so it appears
    the email is coming from them.... Still whitelist the same urls?

    Sorry that´s true, another good solution would be to use Mandrill SMTP to send emails. You have to create a 3rd party account at Mandrill and get the provided SMTP details. What's good here is that you can managed and see the statistics of the delivery of the email messages. Check this article to learn how to setup Mandrill:http://www.jotform.com/help/236-How-to-use-Mandrill-to-Send-Emails-From-Your-Own-Email-Address

    I already use that service and for some reason, some people are getting their emails and some aren't.

    @jdestro

    One of the recipient email ended in the bounce list due to the following reason.

    Result:

    rcuttito@careerdevelopers.com is IN the bounce list

    Reason(s) : smtp;550 5.1.0  sender rejected. IB504 - 205.201.131.142

    Please review if the email is active or valid. Also, it seems this email provider is rejecting the sender email of the form notification. I have now removed it so it should be fine by now, but I would suggest contacting the owner of this email and advise him to whitelist the sender email of your form's notification.

    Let me also remind you that your form notification is bind together with email conditions. Notification would only fire up when the condition is met, in other words, it would only send notification to the specific recipient according to the selected name on the dropdown list per submission.

    Let us know if I've missed something or if you have further questions.

    Regards!

    @jdestro

    I take it you are using the form submitter's email address as the notification sender. In that case, try whitelisting our mail servers' IP addresses.

    http://www.jotform.com/help/145-Whitelisting-JotMails-IP-Addresses

    If this solution does not help, kindly contact your host for further support, because from our mail logs, the emails are being delivered to your host's "front door" so to speak, but they are rejecting it for reasons only they can ultimately resolve.

    Please do inform us if you require any more information.
