    Problem replying to forum replies received by email

    When you send a reply to something I've put on the forum, you send an email with a copy of the reply. The email contains a link to go to the thread on the forum. By clicking the link one gets to the forum without logging in. If one then enters a further reply to the thread and attempts to post it, one gets into a never ending "please wait" state.

    I think that if one is already logged in this does not happen (but I am not sure about that)

    Actually that's just an email notification, you should go to the bottom of the message and click on the link as shown on this image

     

    When you get a never ending loop, that means the thread is Private and you need to log in first to see it. I would recommend you to be logged in Jotform to make it to work

    Yes that is the link that I am talking about. Usually I am logged in and it works fine. But if I am not already logged in and I get one of these emails, I sometimes click on that link as a quick way to get to the thread. Then if I try to reply I get stuck in an endless loop.

    I don't think the threads are private. They appear in the normal forum list of threads. Couldn't you put up a message such as 'please log in before submitting'. Twice I have spent some time creating my reply, only to have to do it all again after logging in.
