It accepts email and password but not the username

HELP!!!! Your username in the create account form does not work. I need to create an account. PLEASE HELP!!! I have tried it on Safari, IE8 & 9, Google Chrome and Firefox.

Are you referring to the situation in the following screenshot?
If so, it's simply a matter of finding a username that has not been taken. In the example above, just changing the "g" in the username to "r" would be okay because no one is using that username.
If it is a different situation, please describe exactly what happens when you try to register. If including screenshots would help, do so.
