Basically how to make a fuctional username field. (ie: so that when someone submits it, it will reject it if that username already exhists, etc)

This would require some server side validation (i.e. system looks at database if username is already used) and is not a feature currently available in JotForm. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you for using JotForm!

Thanks for the response!
Do you have any insight as to weather it will be available in JotForm sometime in the future?

No, I don't think this will be made available at all. Jotforms are not supposed to be used for member registration/login purposes.
You also run the risk of getting autosuspended by our phishing filter if you add a username/password combo in your forms. As such, I advise you to keep from making such a form.
Let us know if you have other queries or concerns. Thank you!
