I have been developing a form (40472027165853) for a while and am continually updating it. Many of the fields (text box) have the calculate field function in use. However, for some reason today, as I try and insert new fields (text box) into the form, either by duplication or from the sidebar, the calculate field does not even appear in the drop down settings menu attached to the new field. Fields with calculate field functionality that I have already set up remain functional and available in the drop down settings menu.
I don't have a problem with the calculate field function generally....it is great, and the new interface looks good. I just can't seem to apply that option to any new field I want to create.
Thanks for your help

To add to above
As an example, in the form which I have listed by its ID number above, compare the fields labelled "Apples total cost", with "Avocado total cost". The calculate field option is available in the former, but not the latter.

Sorry for the inconvenience that may have caused.
The Calculation feature is readded as a widget already and you can find it to our Widgets Section. So, when you want to calculate a fields from your form. The TOTAL field should be the Calculation Widget.
Please take a look at this article for more detailed information.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Just had exactly the same issue and good to find the answer quite quickly. It's a good solution as well but perhaps it would help fot the Widget to appear on the main list (first 7) rather than need to search for it? Anyway found it and I like it. But, always a but, it seems that it cannot be duplicated and that does make life more difficult.

Glad to hear that you were able to find this thread for an answer to your problem. As far as I know those were added there just in examples for quick and easy use though I get your logical reasoning behind wanting the Calculation Widget in that list at first. If you want you could open up a New Thread and request and we'd be more than happy to pass along that request to our developers.
Also, I don't think that I quite follow what you are saying about " cannot be duplicated "? Did you mean the Calculation Widget? Or? You can duplicate it with the Properties menu if that was what you are referring. However, it would not retain any calculations since that is not really feasible as each calculation needs to be configured differently to work accordingly. But if you meant something else then I'm afraid I don't understand just yet so please explain more.

The duplication of the 'new' calculations field refered to bringing across all calculations. Whilst I hear what you say (all different) the facts are that many cases there could well be a fairly complicated calculation where only one of the fields changes from field to field and not all of us name our fields as well as perhaps we should with the benefit of hindsight. Be that as it may my problem is solved.

Thanks for the explanation. In case you would like us to forward your suggestions and thoughts about the new Calculation widget to our dev team, feel free to open a new thread with the request and we will be more than glad to submit a ticket.
