Multiple File Upload Function Stopped Working

Asked by 16kHz on March 04, 2014 at 04:29 PM

A client of mine was having issues uploading his files this morning. I adjusted the size size, in case that was the issue. Now the multiple file function isn't working. It certainly worked prior.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I tested your form, and it seems like multiple uploads are still working:

I ran the same test on your website - same result. (sorry for the test submission)

I might be missing something - but your forms seem fine... please advice...

It did it again. Can you check my site again and see if you can recreate the problem?

    @16kHz

Upon testing the embedded version of both of your forms I was not able to reproduce the issue, I uploaded files with no problems:

However, it may be that a script conflict is occuring between your forms and your website scripts as your form are not protected in an iframe causing the unstable functioning of the Upload feature. So, the best solution would be to re-embed your forms to your website using the iFrame code at this time.

Here is how to get the iframe code: Getting the form iFrame code

Do not hesitate to contact us if the issue still persists.

    Thanks

I've tried to resolve this issue, and it seems like the size of the files we've been trying to upload using the tool is what's creating the problem. If you try a small file, it works perfectly, however when you try something say 480mb it seems to trigger this problem. Any suggestions?

I just tested it and it works ok. However, it shows this error message, though it uploads anyways.

At any rate, make sure that the size is correctly set up, so for 500 MB, you must set up 512000  (1MB =1024 KB)

In the meantime, I'll inform about this no needed error.

I currently have the upload limit set to 393216KB = 3GB. Try uploading on my site http://16kilohertz.com/order-part-submission.html

Its very important that my clients are able to use this service. Any help and assistance I can get to getting this working properly is appriciated.

Actually let me clarify to you that Upload field has a limit:  You can just send 1GB per submission, no matter if this amount is splitted in one single file or several ones.

    Hello 16kHz,

Currently, you're using the following form script source URLs:

    http://form.jotform.co/jsform/32996255514866
    http://form.jotform.us/jsform/32995711282157

Can you try using these script source URLs for the meantime if possible:

    http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32996255514866 (the audio submission form)
    http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32995711282157 (the artwork submission form)

    Thanks.

The URLs appear to just be script. Are you suggesting that I enter the code directly into my site?

Yesterday, I did do a little of my own trouble shooting. I disconneted the upload tool from my dropbox account and conneted it to google drive. It appears to have corrrected my initial issue, however now my uploads fail just before they're complete. Any ideas thoughts?

Sorry if I was not clear. It's because this is what's placed on your web page(http://16kilohertz.com/order-part-submission.html):

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://form.jotform.co/jsform/32996255514866"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://form.jotform.us/jsform/32995711282157"></script>

Like what I said in my last message, please replace the source URL of your script

    FROM

    http://form.jotform.co/jsform/32996255514866
    http://form.jotform.us/jsform/32995711282157

    TO:

    http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32996255514866 (the audio submission form)
    http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32995711282157 (the artwork submission form)

So this means you will need to change the script source above to:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32996255514866"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/32995711282157"></script>

If you'd notice, you're using the domains form.jotform.us and form.jotform.co, I just would like you to change it to change both to form.jotformpro.com.

If you need further clarification on this, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

    Hello 16kHz,

So far I have not seen the source link to your forms on your web page changed.  This is how it shows on my end:

Can you confirm that you've made updates on your web page?

    Thanks.

Thanks, I can see now that it's changed.

One more addition, one of our developers made a fix on the multiple file uploads bug a couple of hours back, this should fix the uploads error warnings that was not showing earlier if the file is too big or the file type is not valid.

Can you try editing and saving your form again?

    Thanks.

Same problem as before. Uploads all the way and then says failed. If I submit the form, it doesn't include a download link in the email notification. Any other ideas here?

Can you tell me on what domain name you're saving your form?  I tried to move it earlier to jotformpro.com and then it turned back to jotform.co again.

Please try to log in at jotformpro.com and save your form there.  If you can provide more details on how you are saving your form, it would be great.  I would also suggest to not use jotform.us and jotform.co for the mean time until we find the issue with the domains.

    Thanks.
