    Values not Printing

    It would seem that when the new style 'Calculations' Widget replaced the ability of the Text Box to carry out calculations we have lost the ability to have the result displayed / printed on the submitted form that results as shown below where the total is fine (it correspondes to £160 for Dinners and £90 for Delegate Fees

    Total Dinners - £
    Total Delegate Fees - £
    Total Conference Fees Payable £ 250 

    The only reason (I think) that the Total Conference Fees Payable shows is becasue it is 'old-style' text box. Since confirmed on my form as an earlier Total od Dinners displays the same 'feature' old style Text Box is fine New Calculation is not?

    Hi,

    I am sorry but your question is a bit vague to me. Would you mind elaborating it further? I could not identify the problem exactly on your screenshot. When you say "lost the ability to have the result displayed / printed on the submitted form", did you mean the data from these two fields are not carried over to the thank you message or on the email notification when you received it over email? If yes, I cannot seem to reproduced the problem on the cloned form, perhaps, an explanation would give us clarifications about this.

    I find that surprising but let's see if I can explain better. When a person completes the Form they receive a Thank You - that's fine so we can completely forget that.  

    The other thing that happens is that the originator of the Form, that's me, will receive an Email listing every entry on the Form. It is this submission that fails to carry the information across from any of the Calculation Widget boxes.

    Hope that helps if not then I will take a whole series of screen shots to fully explain the process?

    Let me add a couple anyway from them you should see the old style text box that allowed calculations and the new calculations widget box which does better calculations BUT they don't show up (on my Form submissions) which is bit pointless? It is the final image that show the 'old' text box which seems to work fine, but unfortunately it's neither possible to copy it nor open a new text box with that calculation feature?

    If the data is missing into your form notification email, I would advise to re-create the settings. Delete the current ones: How to Delete Notifications and re-create: Setting Up Email Notifications

    Well that narrows things down, but as you can see from the following two images that's not the way it works when I do it... so why is that do you think? My submission doesn't even look like yours - I did mine live by the way more than happy for you to do the same if you wish. PS same resuly with my preview so no need to go live? PPS If I 'view' the submissions the information is there - so at least not lost altogether but I do need to see on the submission Emails

    Should have read the Email properly I have deleted and reentered the Email and all seem well.  That would seem to indicate that as I started my form prior to the change in the Text Box (no calculation feature) that was where the problem lay, interesting and apotential pitfall for many who update their forms frequently.

    Anyway thanks all is well now.

    Hi,

    We're glad to know all is good now.

    I think what happened was, the original notification e-mail was modified to the point it is no longer updated to the current state of the form. This sometimes happen when constantly modifying the form and the e-mail notification is not refreshed. This will then cause field results missing in the actual e-mail submission. 

    By creating new notification e-mail, everything is refreshed and thus the e-mail template get an updates with the current version of the form.
