What is the best way to ask users to rank elements in order?

Asked by melamour on March 05, 2014 at 01:27 PM

I was using a drag and drop "orderable list" widget to do this but when I tested the form (and re-ordered the elements), the order I chose was not captured/displayed in the PDF output. Is there a ranking function (that forces prioritization) that will be displayed in the pdf results?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I did test the Orderable List widget with a cloned version of your form, I reordered the list of items, submitted the form, and downloaded the PDF file from email notification and it kept the order I chose:

    Result in pdf:

Is not that the result you are getting?

If that is not the result you wish, you may try our visual Multi Select widget: http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/visual_multi_select

That will allow your items to keep the same number and in the position you choose.

Please get back to us if you need further assistance with this inquiry.

    Thanks
