The submission of my form are set as SSL Submissions by default even when I have not set it to secure, why?

Hi! I started a new account, created a form for internal business documentation in hopes of using the 100 free submissions to see if we'd like to upgrade from there. However, after a few days, it says our account is near the limit and we need to upgrade. When I clicked on the account, it showed that we had submitted 8/10 ssl submissions vs the regular amount. After doing some research, it seems that secure submissions have to do with the embedded code using https vs http, and that https shows up in that code (to copy to website) when the use secure submissions box is checked. Well, I never checked it, yet aparrently, I was given secure submission code. Is that the default? Anyway, I made sure that the code had http instead https on my website now, and did a test one and it counted toward the normal submission and not the secure one. Wondering if this is something I have to look out for on future forms AND if it's possible to have the secure ones reset so I don't have to see that glaring upgrade button everytime I log in.  Thanks!

    Thank you for contacting us.

It is possible that you have used httpS://www.jotform.com/ form builder URL, so that you received default SSL form embed code. When you use regular form builder URL http://www.jotform.com/, you can switch between secure/regular code.

Now we have reset your SSL submissions.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.

When you are signed in to your jotform account securely, for instance, https://jotform.us, then the embed code that you get from your form is secure by default.

I will ask our developers whether this is the norm.

    In any case...

I checked your page and saw that you have corrected the embed link -so you should be Ok now.

But if you keep getting SSL submissions even after this change, please let us know, and we shall investigate - it could be a bug in your account.

See TitusN, seems like the SSL issue is huge and seems like there are numerous ways it turns SSL 'by default' even when not checked, which keeps telling everyone to upgrade even not on FB. Something needs to be done or maybe raise the SSL amount? Thanks for answering.

    Hello,

I am updating this ticket to let you know that this issue is obsolete because Jotforms are now by default secure and their submission limit is also increased to 100.

    Kind regards
