    I am using jotform to start a camp. two forms.

    1. application

    2. registratration

    those who are accepted need to be sent the reg form, but I don't want to have to ask them to fill in the same data they've already given me; will jotform support the ability to prepopulate the form with some data from another form based upon the email address?

    Hi, in this case you can use the workaround of this guide "How to save forms to continue later". This requires two forms, where you pass the values of one form to another. Try it, and let us know if you have any question.

    tried that; not what I need;
    folks will fill out the application form and submit
    then at a later time (weeks) they will be asked to fill out the registration form

    Unfortunately there is not simple or automatic way to achieve this. you can provide the user a prefilled form, but you would need to manually input the prepopulation fields to make the URL generate this for the user.

    More information on the app that does that here: http://apps.jotform.com/app/field_prepopulator

    Just to give you ideas on your workflow, we also have an app that can import the submissions from one form to another form: http://apps.jotform.com/app/import_data

    It all depends on how you are planning your process. Are both forms going to be exactly the same? Do they differ completely? What about using a reference number to later combine the data from the application form with the registration form. This could also be done with a UniqueID field generated on the first form and prepopulated on the second form. For later merging of the data.

    Do let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you.
