How can I create a dynamic dropdown field?

We have a few options for dropdown widgets, the main one being the Dynamic Dropdowns widget. Here you can create categories and several options underneath each category.

Alternatively, there is also the Grouped Values Dropdown. It's similar but displays options differently.

I suggest you place it in a blank form and try it out and see if it will fit your needs.

The form fields can be changed using the API but you would need to write your own script to edit the field.
