Option to Disable Auto-Save When Editing a Live Form

I need to add/edit some fields on a live form, but I don't want the changes to be auto-saved and seen on the live form until they are finished.

I know there isn't an option to disable auto-save and switch to "manual-save", and I don't think there is a workaround unless you can provide one.
