Question regarding encrypted form use

    Hello,

I am looking to create a form to collect new employees details, including name; date of birth; tax, superannuation and bank details for wage payments through our payroll system; emergency contact details; and a picture of their proof of work rights (passport, birth certificate, work visa). Obviously due to the nature of this information the data must be secure so I was interested in creating an encrypted form for it. I have looked at Encrypted Forms and How To Use Them in the User Guide and was just wondering if I can use an encrypted form to collect this information because of the highlighted sentence as shown below.

Can I Now Ask for Credit Card Details Without a Payment Processor?

No, this is also forbidden and will lead to account termination. User credentials, credit card details, and other sensitive information are not allowed to be collected on Jotform. If you need to process payments, use any of our Payment Processors.

Also does the highlighted section below mean that uploaded files/photos to encrypted forms are not encrypted or just that there is not additional encryption on top of the encryption used on the rest of the form?

What Happens To Uploaded Files on Encrypted Forms?

They are handled as is, meaning that any file that gets submitted to your form (a photo, document, etc.) is left unchanged and will be passed as-is. No decryption or additional handling is required to access or view them.

If there is a better way to collect this employee information could you please let me know.

    Thank you

    Chantal

You may collect these "name; date of birth; tax, superannuation and bank details for wage payments through our payroll system; emergency contact details; and a picture of their proof of work rights (passport, birth certificate, work visa)" information via Jotform.

You can collect this information as long as you are using it for legit purposes. You can enable Form Encryption on your form.

The uploads could not be accessed by anyone as your account privacy settings can add an additional layer of security by enabling the below options in the privacy settings in your account.

The file does not seem to be encrypted, the file still shows, although you are asked for the encryption key:

    Thanks.
