I need help with authorize.net payment amounts

Asked by dfarkovits on March 18, 2014 at 12:23 AM

I am trying to make a form where people can register for an event.  the maximum they have to pay is 110, and I want to have fields that appear conditionally (adult/child names and short sizes).  I would like to populate the amount due based on the selection of the dropdown for how many children and adults are coming.  Is that possible?

OK, I made a calculated field.  How do I make the amount due equal to that of the calculated field?  Also, how do I make the max value 110?

    Hello dfarkovits,

Unfortunately, It is currently not possible to copy the value from "Form Calculation" wizard to your "Authorized.Net" field.

You will have to download your form's source code and add custom JavaScript to copy the value of your calculation field to "Authorized.Net". You can also take advantage of JavaScript to make the max value as 10.

Do get back to us if you are okay with the form's source code route, we will provide you the required custom JavaScript code.

    Thank you!

I am not finished with the form design/layout, but I had planned on editing the layout to put some of the fields into a table.  I assume you will have an onupdate function for the 2 dropdowns?  Regardless, I am comfortable inserting the JS if you create and share with me.

    Thanks!

Go ahead and complete the form design, then let us know so that we can advice on the JS script you can implement using the form's source code.

It is important to have the form ready - so that the field variable names do not get altered for the final version.

    Looking forward to your response.

OK, I am ready.  The form is good to go.  I need whatever happens in the calculated field to populate the authorize.net amount due, but capped at 120.  So if the calculate fields is above 120, it should just be 120.

I also want to change the conditional fields so they display in a matrix/table.  Is that possible?

    Hi Doni,

Get the modified source codes here: http://pastiebin.com/533ae6cbb5574. Here's the output of the of the workaround: https://shots.jotform.com/welvin/workarounds/copy-calc-total-to-auth-donation.html

Again, save this modified source codes as an HTML file then upload it to your server. You can embed the HTML file as an iFrame. You can generate custom iFrame codes using this generator: Online iFrame Generator - iFrames Generator

    Thanks

I'm sorry, I need to modify the source codes to match your preference of only putting 120 if it goes beyond that amount.

    Thanks

Please clone this form: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/40905580766966 with added one (1) textbox field (Total-IF), this field is hidden to the form:

Using the Mathematical Calculation Condition, we will populate this textbox field by 120 if the Calculation Total is greater than 120:

Then added the script to automatically copy the amount to the authorizet.net donation box. Still, using if/else settings. If the calculation total is less than or exactly 120, copy it to the authorize.net donation box. If the calculation total is greater than 120, we copy the value provided to the added textbox field.

    Result: https://shots.jotform.com/welvin/workarounds/copy-calc-total-to-auth-donation-2.html

Clone the form above and let me know the new form URL and I'll implement this same to the source codes.

    Thanks

What about making the matrix of names and shirts?
For example when selecting how many adults, children, etc, if they choose 1
or more, it should display the fields without their labels like this:
*Name* *Shirt Size* name 1 field shirt 1 field name 2 field shirt 2
    field etc... etc...

Im not too sure I follow your last post in the thread. By downloaded the code, do you mean you downlaoded and edited the Source Code? If so, what you would need to do next is to embed the form on your webpage.

Do let us know what steps you have taken to assist you better. Thank you.

So I changed the html so that it the form looks like this:
    http://yeshivatnoam.org/images/colormefun/colormefun.html
Notice I put many of the fields in a table.
When I import that form into jotform, all the formatting I did is gone:

How can I keep my formatting?

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

You cannot clone your custom scripts into the Jotform builder- they will be erased due to security reasons.

    Please do the following:

    1. Open a new thread by clicking on this link

    2. Outline what calculations you want to perform on the form, and we will assist in building the form, then provide the final version with Javascript that copies the calculated values into Authorize.net's field.

    Thank you for your patience.
