When I disable a form, it is also disabled to me! This seems like poor design

When an event is full, I have to disable the form to stop people registering

however if someone who has already registered wants to change or update their details, they can't

and moreover, neither can I, even though I am the owner of the form!

this means I have to enable the form, and there is always the danger of having someone entering the event while the form is live

    any ideas around this?!

    Hi there,

This is how Disable Form works. It can't be changed. However, as you want the edit links to work; you can create a condition instead in your form to only show form contents if the edit link is accessed.

As an example, check this form: https://form.jotform.com/213104941212037. All form fields are invisible.

This is the 'edit' link of the same form which will show the fields: https://www.jotform.com/edit/5121110570023019613

This form is enabled has only one condition and the 'Get Form Page URL' widget installed (screenshot provided below):

You can clone this form to check its working yourself.

I hope this solves your purpose. In case you have questions, let us know.

    Thank you!
