Hi,
I have a form that has an approval workflow. The approval action is 'approve and sign' and I need to be able to send the approval signature(s) back to the submitting user.
I'd like to be able to inject the approval signature into the PDF itself. If that is not possible, I'd like to somehow have the approval signature included in the approval email.
Any options for this?
Thanks!

Hi there,

Yes, it is possible to inject the approval signature into the PDF. Infact, this is the default behavior. You just need to add an Email node and then add the PDF submission PDF as its attachment (as indicated in the below screenshots).
The sent PDF will have the approval history in it that will also include the approver's signature (as indicated below).
If you have questions, let us know.
Thank you!

I do not have the option to select 'new document'. I have the following options:
If I select 'the original PDF with form submission data' it attaches the original PDF (and no approval indicators).
If I select 'Default Document' it allows me to select it but if I come back into the screen the box is unchecked.
What do I need to do so I can send 'new document' which contains the approval workflow information?

Hi Adam!
Can you please provide us the link to the form that you have the 'approval and sign' action to it so that I can check and better help you with it?

I was able to resolve this by renaming my 'new document' to something else, closing my browser, and coming back in. I renamed it to 'Approval' and now I see 'Approval' as an option in the approval workflow email options. I've noticed some strange behavior where if I am in PDF editor and rename, delete, or create a new PDF document, the UI hangs (on the loading animation) indefinitely. If I close all browsers and come back in, the issue is resolved. I think what I was seeing here is somehow related to that.
