Are you ever going to finally finish developing "Quiz Builder" for Exams?Asked by zeagle6708 on March 19, 2014 at 11:43 AM
When I do a search for "Quiz" or "Exam" I can see that you've had requests for years and years for an auto scoring quiz form and you always answer that Quiz Builder is "In Development". Is anybody actually working on this project? It would be a GREAT addition to JotForm.
For example, I travel the world by myself, training and then giving a test at the end to determine whether they get a certificate or not. Currently I'm the only one who can mark the tests as the class sits and waits patiently for the results before they can leave. It would be FANTASTIC if I could create a JotForm with bullet and dropdown multiple choice questions that class participants could fill out from their laptops. After they click on the “Submit Form” button a simple tabulation of how many incorrect (the smaller number I hope) answers they made and their name would be all I’d need emailed to my laptop to quickly give them their Pass-Fail results send them on their way. A full record on their specific answers to the questions emailed to me would also be useful for record keeping.
I’m sure this would be a very popular new category to your types of JotForms. CAN YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN?

Thank you for contacting us.
I do not think that we have a special project for Quiz forms, but our developers do their best to improve the product each day. I have attached a feature request to this thread, so that your request about Quiz Builder will be noted as well.
In the meantime, it is possible to use a workaround with Form Calculation Widget and hidden score values. Please check this thread to get more information on it. That workaround should work for Text Boxes, Check Boxes and Radio Buttons. If you would like to try it, our Support Team will be happy to help.
Hi Mike T,
Thanks for the response, giving your suggestion of using the Calculation Form work-around.
To your reply “I do not think that we have a special project for Quiz forms”, as I said, if you do a search on the forums for “Quiz” you’ll see plenty of requests in past years and many answer like the one below in RED with reference to “Quiz Builder” being under development.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, the Quiz Builder is still in development stage. You can still accomplish the same template using the Form Builder in JotForm.
Here is a template which I patterned with the Quiz Builder
Thanks for passing on my request Mike for a Quiz Builder that automatically tallies the number of correct answers for quick turnaround during a live seminar.

I'm very pleased to hear that you have come out with a Quiz Form that hopefully automatically grades the quiz after submission and notifies me quickly what the scores are. This might help me give the people attending a seminar their pass/fail status before they leave.
I tried the link you provided in your message above. It asks repeatedly for my username and password but never let's me into a new quiz form. The same username and password does let into my JotForm folders.
Please let me know when this new form is available to try.
Best regards, Jim
Please make sure that you are connected or logged in using our preferred domain for US users at www.jotform.us. While logged into the preferred domain, the Quiz App should only ask you to authorize the access. If this method doesn't help and still, it requires you to login then try logging in using your account username which is: zeagle6708 instead of the email address (just in case you're doing it like this).
My JotForm tab on the favorites bar in IE11 was jotform.com. It was working fine for accessing my jotforms using my username zeagle6708 and my password, but since you said the preferred access point for user in the US is jotform.us I changed my favorite tab to that address and it still works.
However, when I follow the link that Nickolas gave me this morning (http://quizform.jotform.io) I don't have a choice since his link was to .io not .us. I just tried it again and I get the same problem. It asks repeatedly for my username and password but never let's me into a new quiz form.
I hope we can resolve this as I am very eager to try the new quiz-form.
I decided to split up this thread so I can forward the issue to our developers. Please follow up it here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/400377
