Can you use the calculation widget with a PayPal booking form.Asked by David king on March 19, 2014 at 12:19 PM
Can you use the calculation widget with a PayPal booking form. Say your booking form ask questions and depending on the answer yes or no you add amounts to charge via PayPal.
This is a re-post of a comment on Introducing Field Calculations for Forms
Unfortunately, that is not possible in the form builder. One possible way is to finalize your form, get the source codes: How to Get Form Source Codes then add a custom script that would add the amount based on the form field questions to the Paypal Total Amount.
I don't have an example, but we'll do my best to provide if you want this method. However, this workaround will depend on our availability.
I'd also like to mention some downside of using this method:
-Using the source codes, if there are changes to the form, you will have to redo the whole process since updates made to the form builder are not automatically carried out to the form source codes.
-You would need to save the source codes as an HTML file then you will have to host it to your own server. There is no way you can import back the modified source codes to our form builder.
I moved your question to a new thread so we can be of more assistance. Please check here your answer.
