    Hallo!

i have problem with a form of mine. It's a form with conditional fields (show/hide fields according to option).

The problem is that the forms height is too large...how can i reduce it? i tried change height pixel size through html but it didn't work.

I also have another problem. This is a cloned formed that has been a little bit changed in some fields. But after i hae made the changes and re-embed the form via iframe, the form seems to keep the fields with the old properties.

If i embed the form via joomla this problem is fixed but the conditions don't work...How can i solve it?

And finally i would like to ask you if there's a way to back up my forms?

    Thank you!

    Timothy!

    Hi Timothy,

We could provide a better suggestion on fixing the height issue if we could have seen the form in actual on your Joomla website. Will you be able to share to us the URL of your website where we can check the form?

Initially, you can also try re-embedding the form in your website using its iframe code. When you use the iframe, you can manually adjust the height parameter of the iframe if the given does not match your form's height.

You can backup your forms by cloning them. Refer to this guide on how to

    http://www.jotform.com/help/27-How-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-your-account

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks!

    Hello Timothy,

Please use the following iFrame embed code to to embed your form and that should solve your problem:

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="//form.jotformeu.com/form/40281702986357?wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:982px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

I did try to change the height property through "Inspect Element" tool and that seems to work as expected. Please check the screenshot below:

I mean if i can back my sumbissions (except from simply downloading them). Is there any way to do this?

I have not understood your above question. Please explain it a bit more in detail.

    Thank you!

    Hello Timothy,

Unfortunately, there is no way to back up your submissions in JotForm account. One way to achieve this is to integrate your form with google spreadsheet which should make a copy of submissions in the google spreadsheet. The following guide should help you in google spreadsheet integration:  http://www.jotform.com/help/228-How-to-Integrate-Form-with-Google-Spreadsheet

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any question,

    Thank you!

    Hallo

I have a problem with thw code you suggested above about the height issue.

This form is with conditional fields with hide/show options. When you select "ΑΘΗΝΑ" option from dropdown list it shows an extra field. But then, the submission button and some part of Comments Field dissapear.

Is there any way to fix it?

    Hi,

I was able to see the issue mentioned

I checked your form iframe embed, and noted that it does not include the script part of the embed code.

Have you already tried using the full iframe embed code with the script part included?

The script part of the iframe embed code as suppose to address the auto-height of the form.

Can you please try first using all the default iframe code and see the result.

If it will still not work, the other option I can suggest is re-design the form to compensate for the changing height due to the condition rules.

Example, you can instead make it a multiple page form using page break field. Use the condition to move to the correct page instead of using the show/hide method.

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks!

    Hallo!

I have already tried what you suggested above (the default iframe code). You can see the result if you see my form now. Now the height is too large....

I don't want to have a multipage form, especially this one (is the Contact Us form) and i would like to keep it simple.

Is there any other way to solve it?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

I was also able to see the new issue, the height being too large this time.

From what I can see, this is due to script conflict that is happening between the script in the form and those jquery scipt exissting in your form.

To prevent this conflict, the form script should be isolated. The best option I can suggest at the moment is embedding the form to a separate web page and embed that web page into your website.

Here are the steps to do this.

    1. Create a new empty/blank web page in our website http://vouchernews.gr/  . The web page can be a basic page only like Example:  "http://vouchernews.gr/myformpage.html"

    2. After creating the page, embed the form to the blank page using the full iframe code.

So, the new page http://vouchernews.gr/myformpage.html should now contain the embedded form.

    3. Create an iframe code wherein the src page will be the new page in step #2. The iframe code can be like this

    <iframe allowtransparency="true" src="http://vouchernews.gr/myformpage.html" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:982px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    4. In your website page, you can now embed the iframe code created in step#3 .
The form should be now visible in your website http://vouchernews.gr/index.php/epikoinwnia

If you are able to follow the steps, you can test the form in website, and see if there are still issue on inherit height.

    Thanks!
