Optimal dimensions for PDF

Trying to work out the best possible resolution and dimensions for artwork in the PDF. Everything I'm trying is pixelating. Is there a general rule of thumb re how large each image should be? What are the best dimensions for a full screen artwork (say a header banner)? Thank you.

Both of these images, when you zoom in even slightly, become fuzzy and lower res. They should be in perfect resolution regardless of whether you zoom in or not cause they are quite high resolution on my end.

Are you able to please confirm the best dimensions for this PDF even if you can't see the issues I'm referring to? Thank you.

Unfortunately, on the PDF editor, you cannot perform better with the quality of the image. The only way is to upload a higher quality image, but the risk is that It can slow down the download of the entire document.
