Can't save or use forms

    HI

I'm a bit frustrated, signed up this morning and spent considerable  time setting up my first form based on a contact form template.  Clicked on save many times. Loaded it into my website ok and tried it out but it didn't work --  because it expected a field I had removed from the template.

When I go to MY forms the only one there is the template, no matter how much saving I do or did.

I then put the form (which I still had in the original design window) to the web for access at http://form.jotform.co/form/40788077632867 and viewed it ok at that address.  THen tried to re-import it but all I got was the template again.

It seems I can't actually save the form.

Attached screenshot shows how the form looked when first loaded.  But if I go again to the page it now looks like the template, see URL below.

    1) How to I save, load and use a form?  In fact where is the save-as button so I can save the form with a new name in the first place?

    2) Why is the form indented to the right?  I need it left justified with rest of site.

    Thanks

    Julian

    Hello Julian,

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Are you unable to save yoru form?

Upon checking, I found that you have two forms in your account. One of them is actually the one you have uploaded as image in your post, the other one is embedded in your web page.

Here are the answers to your query:

    1) How to I save, load and use a form?  In fact where is the save-as button so I can save the form with a new name in the first place?

You can just press "Ctrl+S" to save your form. We also have auto save feature where every time you make any changes to your from, it is saved automatically.

There is no save-as option. You can use our clone feature to save-as your form. The following guide should help you:  http://www.jotform.com/help/27-How-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-your-account

To use a form, you need to embed your form in your web page. I believe you have already figured this out as I see you have embedded your form in your web page. This following guide should help you embed your form:  http://www.jotform.com/help/34-Adding-a-Form-to-a-Web-Page

    2) Why is the form indented to the right?  I need it left justified with rest of site.

Please inject the following custom css in your form to align it towards left:

    .form-all {float: left;}

The following guide should help you to inject the custom css code:   http://www.jotform.com/help/117-How-to-Inject-Custom-CSS-Codes

Do get back to us if you meant to ask something else.

    Thank you!

Thanks Ashwin, much appreciated.  As you discovered I sorted it out slowly.  The problem was the autosave.  I had two windows open with the same edit form in it (not on purpose).  So while I was working away on one and embedding and testing, every now and again the hidden page with the original form would autosave over the top of my work.  So I could embed form in website fine, but then by the time I got to test it, it had been overwritten with the base, unmodifed form.  VERY confusing.

Thanks for help on the other matter too, I think I've got a handle on most of it now!

    Cheers,

    Julian

    Hi Julian,

Thanks and glad to hear you were able to figured out the problem. We extremely do not recommend editing the same form on a different tab since the autosave function will definitely overwrites each other changes.

    Regards!
