Decimal number format localization?

Hello,

I tried to localize my form's number fields to support commas as a decimal mark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_mark), but couldn't. Just changing the form language (in this case into Finnish) didn't seem to affect the decimal mark handling, and it still only accepts a decimal point, not comma.

So currently my options are:
1) don't use Validation: Numeric, or
2) do ugly hacks to the backing Google Form to convert decimal points into commas.

For now, I've chosen (1). Is there an another way?

I think we can come up with a workaround for how you view the decimals - but only after the form has been submitted - the users would have to enter the English version - but I think you are reffering to inputs...

When it comes to inputs, this might need the counsel of our developers.

So just to confirm- is the field illustrated below the one you want to implement the decimal localization along with the language?

Such that, instead of entering something like 2.22, you would enter 2,22 - is that right?

Yes, the main problem is actually validating numeric fields before submitting. In my form, the field would be the one titled "Summa (€ tai km)", but it currently has no number validation enabled because of the problem. And yes, I would like to be able to type 2,22 (Finnish decimal format) instead of 2.22 (the default English one).

I would have suggested adding an input mask to your text field, but then after checking your form, I realized it might not be a good idea.

With that said, I have submitted a request ticket for this. However, due to limited development manpower, we cannot guarantee an ETA as to when it will be implemented, if at all.

Still, we will keep you posted via this thread if we hear any news from our development team.
