Collect Payment via Credit Card that passes through me to Travel Supplier (cruise, air, car, hotel, etc.)

Is there a way to have a credit card form that gives me the payment info so I can directly enter it into my travel supplier's system (e.g. cruise line, hotel, car rental, etc.)?

The challenge is PayPal, Square, etc. charge 2.9% of the charge. I am simply collecting the information and processing it to the travel supplier. I don't want to charge the client an extra 2.9% or 3.0% for processing their booking.

    Any solutions are greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, there is no option to achieve your equest. That violates our terms of use.

Phishing. You agree that Company may terminate your JotForm Service immediately if a form's purpose is found to be deceptively obtaining: sensitive credit card information, social security numbers, user login credentials, or other sensitive personal information. All these activities are considered as Phishing and any account along with the violating forms will be suspended immediately.

You have to use a payment processor integration.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately no, Our terms of service do not approve any sort of bank details collection.

Please keep in mind that forms with fields that ask for those details will get suspended automatically and the account owner will no longer have access to his account.

    I apologize for the inconvenience,

    As my colleague has offered,

Please have a look at the Payment processor integration,

Maybe it could save some cost on fees

There is an itinerary builder that we use for our travel business. They have a PCI-compliant form they use that directly charges the client's credit card.

    https://intercom.help/travefy/en/articles/5123708-how-to-create-a-credit-card-authorization-form

Is this something that JotForm might be able to create, I love JotForms compared to the itinerary builder forms in that they have one line per screen, and don't have options like you all have to make visible or not visible pages based on inputs. For example in our Client Worksheet, if there is more than one traveler the client needs to enter that person's data. https://form.jotform.com/212955300120037 also for our TSA worksheet if the travel is international then the page that collects passport information is visible. Lastly, I love the thank you that is sent out after the submission.

I'm trying to avoid the processing fees when I have clients booking multi-thousand dollar trips of which 5 to 10% is my commission, but the processing fee takes the total cost of the charge.

Normal procedure is when booking or making payments (some clients break it up over months) we directly enter into the supplier (cruise, vacation, hotel, air, etc.) PCI compliant website. We don't store the CVV in our PCI-compliant CRM. Each time we use the client's card we get verbal permission and then make the charge. This protects everyone from compromise.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello AyasTravel,

Thank you for getting back to us. Please note that due to our PCI certification, we are required to deny the collection of credit card details (this includes but not limited to credit card numbers, expiry dates, cvv, or credit card codes) on regular form fields. As mentioned by my colleague: regular forms with fields that ask for those details will get suspended automatically and the account owner will no longer have access to their account.

However, we have other PCI-compliant ways to do this. You need to choose any of the payment processors available in our platform in order to integrate in your forms. They still won't be able to collect credit card details directly though. Please note that payments processed through Jotform are being handled by our payment processors.

If you want to collect your customer's payment details and charge them at a later date, you can take advantage of a feature called "Payment Authorization". To learn more, kindly follow this guide on How to Enable Payment Authorization.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Thank you for the feedback.

I gather looking at the way Travefy (our travel itinerary builder) does; it is not something Jotform is interested in.

I will check out the links you provided and see which one of the payment processors will give me the best deal in terms of finance charges for transactions.

As I mentioned, the 2.75 to 3.25% of the total charge can be significant when a customer/client is booking a multi-thousand dollar vacation, of which only 5% of the value is commission. For example, I had a client go to Cancun for five days (4 adults & 1 child), that cost them $6000+ which I got $200 commission if I pay the charges on the trip cost it equates to about $165.00, so I get $35 commission not worth it. Whereas using the Travefy process, I'll keep my full commission.

    Hello AyasTravel,

We apologize if you didn't end up with a resolution that you are looking for with the payment processor. The we understand your situation and that the fees of the payment processors are going to affect your revenue. But with that being said, we hope that you understand that these fees are actually imposed by the payment processors themselves and Jotform has no total control over them. We respect your decision with regards to using a platform that can bring you more revenue but we hope that you'd still continue using Jotform as part of your workflow in your business. If you need further assistance, just let us know. Thank you!
