Mobile phone number with 10 digits and 11 digitsAsked by npp on March 22, 2014 at 03:07 AM
I have trouble to figure out how to set the phone number field to collect mobile numbers with 10 digits and 11 digits.
Our mobile network providers had recently come out with mobile number that is 11 digits.
Eg. 019-1112345 (10 digits) & 019-11123456 (11 digits).
We did try to enable the masking and set the format to 11 digtis as ###-#######.
However for customers with 10 digits number, the result will be for example 019-1112345_. There is an unmderscore line behind the last digit.
Please kindly advise how to go about it.
When you add a "Masking Value" to your form input field, it is to ensure that exact number of character is input in the form field by user. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to give option to your user to input either 10 or 11 digit input.
Do get back to us if you want to take the form's source code to achieve your requirement and we will surely help you with custom source code.
We will wait for your response.
