Free Text (HTML) keeps auto-formatting to original values.

Asked by MDBB on July 21, 2011 at 11:36 AM

I've tried to find answers on the forum but haven't found anything similar.

This is in reference to our form http://www.jotform.com/form/11880117655

We have two free text boxes at the top and bottom of the form. We're having difficulty getting them to stay in the same format which we would like to be Tahoma, 4(14pt). Everytime we go to either change the text, font or size and click complete, the box automatically returns to the original text and values. I've tried changing the values in the HTML editor and that too also returns to what ever is originally written.

I have the form's font values set as Tahoma and 4 (14pt) size so everything should conform however these free text boxes doesn't. If there is a fault with them can you please make a note of this to the developers, if this is my error please can someone either talk me through it, or write CSS code to change it as I only have limited HTML/CSS knowledge.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rikki,

I couldn't seem to replicate the problem you were experiencing. First and foremost, the html boxes in your form kept the formatting that you applied to it. The css for the form displays the exact properties you gave to the text in the free text box - Tahoma, 4(14pt) and 7(36pt) for the bigger text.

I cloned your form and played around with the html boxes, changed font types and sizes and they were able to keep the formatting intact. No auto-formatting occured.

Have you tried using a different browser and see if the problem still persists?  We'll be waiting for your responses. Thank you!
