Feature request: Conditional field validationAsked by NRCsupport on March 22, 2014 at 07:53 PM
We sell places for our events using a JotForm. We would like to offer different prices for adults and children. Each form can be used for up to 8 places. If we put two fields on the form - one for number of adults and one for number of children, we would need to prevent submission (or moving to the next page), if the sum of these two fields is either zero or greater than 8. Is there any way of doing this.
I understand what you meant here.
Currently when using Calculation feature, the resulting field has no validation type when use in Condition Logic. Or I think it is just a string/text type.
When in Condition Logic wizard, you cannot set numerical type rules .i.e greater than, less than to the Calculation field (because it does not see it as number type)
In my test form http://form.jotform.me/form/40808932873463? I could have easily use condition like
IF Total > 0 AND Total < 9
SHOW page break
(This condition could have satisfied your idea on the form)
I will submit a request ticket to check on the Calculation field to have validation when use in Condition Logic.
Inform us if you have further inquiry.
