When form submissions are exported to Excel or CSV format the dates are in long (non-comma separated) format (example - March 23 2011). These cannot be converted into a sortable format in Excel. Excel required a separating comma between day and year. (example March 23, 2001). Once it has this separating comma it can convert to short format MM/DD/YY which can then be sorted by age. We have found that we need to go into the report and add a comma to each and every submission before we can sort data.
More information: We use these forms to collect community team sports registrations. This is done for several age groups/teams simotaneously. This data then needs to be sorted to determine which age group the player will be in. We have tried having submitter choosing an age group but have fount this to be inaccurate. So we request child's DOB and were hoping to sort with this field to determine which age group they were in. That is - until we ran into the issue I stated above.

First of all, thank you for using JotForm.
Unfortunately, JotForm currently does not have this feature. However, I do get how this could be useful. I've already added this to our feature request list and hopefully, our developers can include this in the near future. The best thing that you can do for now is to sort the data in JotForm itself.
Go to your form's submissions, and click the Birth Date. This will automatically sort the data for you in JotForm.
If you have further issues, please feel free to contact us.

Has this been added? Can we export csv in a more standard format. ie yyyymmdd. I don't need it for sorting but for converting to another program.
