Cannot find a way to get just checkboxes or just radio buttons on choice questions

Second, I can't find a way to get just checkboxes or just radio buttons on choice questions. I am using a theme but have modified some of the questions and now seem to get a mixture--I prefer the boxes for this particular application, but all of one or the other would be okay.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If I understand correctly, you want to use Multiple Choice fields (Checkboxes) instead of Single Choice fields (Radio options) in your form https://www.jotform.com/build/213226844080148
To replace the radio buttons, you can add the checkbox field first. You ca select the Multiple Choice field in the Form Elements/ Basic Elements in the Form Builder.
