    Hello,

I'm looking to create a card form. Where a person enters a serial number, if it's on our list they go to the next card. If not, they get a response saying "incorrect serial number".

Is that possible with your system?

Please note that if there are not too many serial numbers, you can add a condition in the form to check if the input number is equal to the specific number, then insert the desired text in the another short text field. Please check the screenshot below:

Similarly, you can then add another condition in form to show if the serial number is not valid.

If there are too many serial numbers, please take a look at our "Spreadsheet to form" widget and see if it fits into your requirement. You can upload an Excel file with all the serial numbers that will be a unique code and another column with the message you want to display in the form. When the user input the data in the widget, it will fetch the data from the uploaded Excel file and populate in the other fields of the form. You can then add a condition to check the populated field value and display a message to the user. You may like to take a look at the following guide, which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-how-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget/

    Hope this helps.
