Downgrade and Keep Submission Data

    Hi there,

We don't need to use Jotform for the next month and a half until we re-open applications for our market in January.

I am wondering if it is possible to downgrade to a free plan for now and then still have access to our responses when we upgrade again in Jan. We won't be looking at the responses until then.

    Thank you,

    Emily

Hi Emily, thank you for contacting support.

When you downgrade your account, you won't lose your forms and your data. But we recommend you export your current data. Because of the SUBMISSION STORAGE. This is the total number of submissions you can store on your account itself, this is different from the first one which is a monthly limit. So for example, in the "Free" plan, you are only allowed to have total submission storage of 100. These 100 are the most recent submissions that you received. If you exceed your limit, the oldest submission data will be deleted, giving way for the new ones to be received.

    I hope this helps.

If you have any problems don't hesitate to contact us.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your help!

Just to clarify - if we downgrade we will only keep the 100 most recent submissions. All old ones, including Archived submissions, will be permanently deleted? There's no way to recover them once we re-upgrade?

    Hi there,

As my colleague suggested above, the best way to avoid this is to download all your current submissions data, because once you downgrade your account the Total Submission Storage will downgrade too and this is the total number of entries you can store on your account itself. If you exceed your Total Submission Storage limit, the oldest submission data will be deleted, giving space for the new ones to be received.
Details are provided in the following link → Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits

Provide the instructions and details provided in this guide on How to Export All of Your Data at Once.

    Hope this information helps.

    Thank you for your help.

I am still a little confused - I have downgraded to Free for now, which should mean that I am able to have 100 monthly submissions. I have not exceeded that amount for this month, yet when I tried to submit a new form it tells me that the form is over its quota already.

    Hello,

Upon checking your account, your monthly submissions are well below the limit for Free accounts but you're still above the upload space limit of 100MB. You currently taking up 4.43 GB of upload space.

To fix this, what you can do is delete submissions that have file uploads on them, but please do keep in mind that deleting submission data is irreversible and will permanently remove the data in our servers. You may want to download first all your form submissions with uploaded files before deleting them.

To determine if you are already below the maximum upload limit, you can check your Account Usage page.
