Is there to convert an already made form to a payment form?

Asked by bhzlacewigs on July 24, 2011 at 10:50 AM

I want to provide a way for customers to customize a wig. Each individual wig has various options that must be selected.

As I'm putting together a payment form, so that my customers can possibly get the total of their customized wig before submiting their order, I see that there is no way to add invidual options that have an additional cost without those options being related to a separate product.

The thing is the product is the wig itself, but there is a huge list of options that must be selected. I would like the payment form to include the wig as the product and the options form customizing the wig to be tallied up. Is this possible?

For example, each wig length costs additional, even some colors. So the product base price is a certain amount and the options that must be added/chosen/customized may cost extra.

It is seeming that I have to make every option that may cost extra an individual product. Or is their another way?

Can I convert my regular form I have now as a payment form since the options are already there and add prices to those options?

I have included a screen shot of my regular form with the drop down costs of some options so that you can see what I am referring to. I want to create a payment form just like this if opossible since the payment form is the only way to way to have a form caculate totals.

Any help is appreciated, thanks a bunch!

    Hi bhzlacewigs,

I'm afraid you cannot convert your entire form into a payment form exactly how it looks right now. You need to set up a Payment Tool in order to accept payments from your form.

There is some level of flexibility available within the Payment Tool field, i.e. you can add additional options such as quantity, color, size, or any custom option that you can think of. But, except for quantity, selecting these options will not adjust the total cost of the product once it is selected. You therefore have to create a new product for each possible combination of color, size, etc if they are priced differently.

I hope I was able to shed light into your concern. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
