using a form with dropbox integration for visitors to upload their files, but despite me allowing multiple files, i have an error saying it's disabled

The error message you are seeing is not related to your upload field. Upon checking your form, I found that you have set your "Form Limits" to accept only "Unique Submission". Please check the screenshot below:
As you have set your form to accept unique submissions as loose check that is the reason you must not be able to send multiple submissions from the same computer.
