i had updated my email in my profile a few mos ago, but the forms are still being sent to the old address. i can't find where to fix the email.

The email address set on the email alert on your form will not update if you have changed the email address on your account's profile. This means you will need to manually change the email address on your form.
This user guide will help you identify to which email address the form is sending its notification alerts. Once you're able to find that out, you can also change your email address set there so the next time you receive a submission, it will send to the new email address set.
