Number Added To Uploaded Filename & Additional Files

Asked by sg2designs on April 01, 2014 at 12:14 PM

This is probably a common thing, but I can't seem to find it in any settings.

    1. I've set the form up through Dropbox, and all seems to work. However, a long number has been added to the beginning of the filenames. Can this be removed?

    2. I noticed that with each file uploaded, there is an additional file added called "submission.pdf". Is there any way to disable this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Greg

    To clarify your questions...

    1. I've set the form up through Dropbox, and all seems to work. However, a long number has been added to the beginning of the filenames. Can this be removed?

The long string of numbers you are seeing is the submission id which is autogenerated and assigned to your submissions by default. You can customize the folder names that these files are sent to for easier recognition by customizing your dropbox setup.

    2. I noticed that with each file uploaded, there is an additional file added called "submission.pdf". Is there any way to disable this?

The PDF is the copy of the submission which is sent to you when your form is filled out including with the upload of a file by default. So no, As far as I know we do not yet have any way to disable that but if you would like I would be more then happy to open up a feature asking for that if you wish.
