field manager app is not showing one of my form.

Asked by milbra on April 01, 2014 at 10:56 PM

I want to copy 3 fields from one form to another. The following thread seems to address this situation...
    http://www.jotform.com/answers/294282-can-i-copy-a-field-to-another-form.  I used the http://fieldmanager.jotform.io/ link.

Just to see how it worked, I tried loading all forms and they loaded without a problem, except for one - the one I need to the copied fields into (http://form.jotform.us/form/40898554605162).

The form that didn't load was open in another window, so I closed it just in case that was a problem and even closed my browser.  Still wouldn't load.

Can you tell what the problem is?

    Hello milbra,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

Did your create the form #40898554605162 just before you opened the field manage app? It could be just a time lag issue where form must have not been propagated to our servers.

I would suggest you to try using the "Field Manager" app again and get back to us if the issue persists.

    Thank you!

I had created it several days before, but I had made changes just before trying the app.

Just tried it again... still not loading.

I created a clone of your form and the form also didn't load. I also had the same result with some other forms.

I will forward this to our developers. They will get back to you via this  thread once they have an update on this.

Meanwhile you may try a workaround. If you don't need all the fields, you can clone your form and remove the unnecessary fields from the clone. Then you can try to load the form again. It might be some field that is preventing the use of the app, and by removing the unnecessary fields perhaps the problem gets solved.

Let us know if we can be of more assistance.

    I found the problem :-)

    1.  I cloned problematic form and deleted all fields
    2.  I added a single field
    3.  form loaded using the app

    4.  recreated remaining fields like the original form
    5.  tried the app
    6.  stopped loading after the first Address field

I had tried to create a similar look for the Address as I get when using the "Quick Tools" Address (didn't use this because I wanted to add a dropdown for the states).  I left the label blank on Address 2 and City.

When I saw it stopped loading after the 1st Address, I went back and added the Address 2 and City labels and it worked.
