Having problem integrating JotForm in GoDaddyAsked by contests24by7 on April 02, 2014 at 12:30 PM
Still having problem integrating JotForm in GoDaddy.
No one from Godaddy or even from Jotform is helping us.
Strange note: Even if my website is not secure(no https), if I use jotform's secure form using iFrame, GoDaddy is allowing that. But, in case of normal iFrame, the whole area remains blank in GoDaddy site. Currently I am using free account and was thinking to go for premium depending upon JotForm performance. But these technical issues poking me to rethink. Any help?
We are sorry about that. We at Jotform will definitely help you until this is sorted.
Are you somewhat like using a web builder that is built in from GoDaddy? Can you provide your website URL so we can check the form standing here? Iframe embed code should be working with any platform since the form will simply load in an iframe container. Perhaps if you can provide your website, we can check what causes the form not to appear on your page?
We'll await your reply. Regards!
PFB the iframe with secured stuffs which is working:
Can't take the risk to post the unsecured one as that is becoming empty. while testing i have put characters like 'abcd' at the begining of the iframe and 'efgh' at the end of the iframe. in runtime all the charecters are coming with long space/blank for the form in between.
Please help asap.
I am able to view the form properly embedded on the URL you have provided. I do not see any letters (abcd or (efgh) on any portion of your iframe code. Please elaborate further on the problem you are having now that the form is embedded on your site. Thank you.
IF you, Sir, have read the full email, it could have been better. :)
As I mentionedcopied from my previous reply) regarding the secured iframe(https)-
"PFB the iframe with secured stuffs which is working:
The problem is with unsecured(http) which is not in production now, as I have live traffic and the unsecured version results the following (copied from my previous reply):
"Can't take the risk to post the unsecured one as that is becoming empty. while testing i have put characters like 'abcd' at the begining of the iframe and 'efgh' at the end of the iframe. in runtime all the charecters are coming with long space/blank for the form in between."
Thanks in advance.
If I understand correctly, the issue is about the form being cut-off or submit button disappearing when viewed in your website http://www.24by7publishing.com/flash-fiction.html
And I can see that you have already used secure iframe embed code
An alternative option you can try to fix the issue is like this..
In the provide iframe code by JotForm, do not use or include the script code part when you embed the code into your website.
Iff your iframe code is like this, used only the iframe part (yellow) and exclude the script part(red) when embedding
<iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="https://secure.jotform.us/form/40897484041157" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:1513px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>
Everythin(including submit button) is coming fine, while using secure iframe code. This is the current implemented state.
But nothing(except the long blank length for the whole form height) is coming if using normal/unsecure iframe code. The desired state is to to get unsecure form working.
Godaddy website builder is actually a secured page and uses SSL. Please be noted that it is not possible to show unsecured content in a secured URL.
What I suggest you is to go ahead and add your form's non secure embed code in your webpage. You will not see the form while you are in website builder but once you publish your website, you should not have any trouble.
Hope this helps.
Do get back to us if you have any questions.
I really cant believe that four of support members from JotForm are unable to understand the problem statement - not sure whether this is the way to confuse and bore the subscriber without concentrating on the actual problem. :(
This is highly disappointing!
Dear ashwin_d, I had used same content for http and https.
https => can be termed as secured
http => can be termed as unsecured
I can now predict that the next support guy will now reply on this email and completely ignore my actual problem :)
So that we may further test this issue. Please embed the non-secure iframe code on a test page other than your current live production page.
This way we can observe the actual problem. Please provide the URL to that test page, so that we may assist you further. Thank you.
Thanks Cesar... at last someone sounded "to the point"... and thanks a lot, it worked!
Strange note: In GoDaddy preview mode for my new test page, the non-secure iframe code was invisible; when I published so, I can see the form in live test page!
Again - I really apprciate you Cesar!
