Can I create a form with a matrix of choices, each choice only available to one person?Asked by Erin on April 08, 2014 at 10:20 AM
What I am trying to do is to make a list of items, and have customers select multiple items and then submit the form. Then when the next person comes through the form, I want only the available options that are left to be displayed as choices for them. Can your forms do this?
We have a Matrix Table tool, however it does not work in the way you describe. It does not have the capability to limit the user to choose the option once only. However, we still have some features that may help for this purpose.
One example could be the Gift Registry widget: http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/gift_registry
It allows you to list multiple options and at the same time to set a limit of time they can be chosen. So, if you want each option to be select just once then just set the limit to one. That way once it is selected and the form submitted, it will no longer be available.
I hope that helps. Please inform us if you need further assistance with this inquiry.
