    Password Matching Condition

    Asked by bluebotgraphix on April 08, 2014 at 02:08 PM

    I have a Password field and a Password Verify field on my form. Is there a condition where I can make the Verify field not accept if it doesn't match the first Password field? The verify field must use whatever the vistor enters, not a pre-determined value.

    Hi bluebotgraphix,

    Unfortunately, password field is not an available option here for security reason. If you already have your for created, you can add some javascript to validate the 2 fields.

    example:

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">

    function validatePass() {

    if(document.getElementByID('pass1').value != document.getElementByID('pass2')){

    alert('Password didn't match!');

    }else{

    return trues;

    }

    }

    </script>

    insert the above code to the head of your page and call the function by adding onClick="validatePass();" to yur submit button.

    Cheers!

    Still new to the site, can you please point me to where the javascript code is to be inserted on the head of the page? Also, where can I add the "onClick" to the submit button?

    Hi!

    Unfortunately, they do not offer these option here for security reasons. Passwords cannot be included on the form.

    What Bryan has explained to you is true, we do not allow password fields on forms as this would violate our terms of use.

    Kind regards
