Pending Payment Submission through Pay Pal

Asked by Tiffform on April 09, 2014 at 10:44 AM

I have completed a jotform submission and submitted payment through the paypal application. I see the transaction as "incomplete submission" . How long does it take to gain confirmation from PayPal, and when will the status change in Jotform to "completed" submission?

    Thank you-Tiffan Davis Gillespie

    What is a Pending Submission?

When a user submits your payment form we keep submission data in our database until the payment is completed.

We process the submission (ie. send emails, add to Submissions page) only after we receive a notification from the payment gateway.

In order for it to work as expected a transaction must be paid for completely by filling in your form, going to paypal, and finalizing it there.

Based on what you stated at first you've tested it but didn't fully go through with the transaction and pay for it. So because of that it is why you had it end up as an " Incomplete Payment ". Even if you click " Complete Transaction " this only sends the customer a notice requesting that they come back and finalize the transaction by paying for it.

You won't receive anything until the notice has been paid for unless you enable it to be sent beforehand as it is disabled by default since that would create inaccurate payments if they are incomplete.
