PDF Embedder: Allow users to upload their documents.

Is it possible to build a document upload form that would allow the person submitting the form to upload the document, and then view the document within the form as they fill it out?

I'm trying to create a lease abstraction form. The data that people are going to be entering will come directly from the document bing uploaded. I'd like them to have the ability to see the information all in one window versus having to have two windows open.

    Hi, Max!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Currently, the only possibility would be to add a PDF Embedder Widget to the form, as shown below.

    Example:

If it is a PDF file, you can add it in the form your users are filling in, and that's how they can at the same time look in the information they need to submit.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

Is there a way for the person uploading the document and filling out the form to mark, maybe within the PDF Embedder Widget, the paragraph that contains the information that they're entering?

    Thank You for contacting us!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to mark the paragraph in the PDF Embedder widget.

A workaround we can suggest you upload the image of the marked paragraph using the Image Upload Preview widget:

    https://www.jotform.com/widgets/image-upload-preview

Image Upload Preview widget lets users view the image they’ve selected to upload to your form. Upon preview, they can then decide whether to proceed with the submission or delete the image.

    Thanks.

Just to clarify, the PDF embedder only works for one document that I upload prioir to publishing the form? People filling out the form cannot upload their own PDF?

    Hi, Max!

"Just to clarify, the PDF embedder only works for one document that I upload prior to publishing the form?"

Exactly! If you want the same for your users, we can escalate the ticket to our developer's team. However, we cannot guarantee when precisely it will be implemented.

We will wait for your response.
