How to track Coupon Codes using PayPal Pro

    Hi,

I need to be able to track how much revenue is generated by orders using various coupon codes on the PayPal Pro integration (PayPal is not able to track this information on their end).

Is it possible to have the coupon code used as a column in an excel report? That way at the end of the month I can reorder the spreadsheet in excel by coupon code, so I can determine how much revenue was generated by each different coupon code the previous month?

Or is there a better way to collect this information?

    Hi,

From what I understand, you can achieved this by just using the regular item/products in the Payment tool -- do not use Coupon code to have separate column for each Coupon.

Just use each item/product as a coupon that users can only select one.

Then in the Excel report, you can use the excel function text-to-column to separate the item/product into a separate column.

Please refer to this thread also for a similar discussion that have a suggested workaround.

Here is a screencast video on how to in Excel

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

I'm not sure what you mean by "do not use Coupon code to have separate column for each Coupon. Just use each item/product as a coupon that users can only select one."

Coupon codes offered by select affiliates offer a % discount and need to be tracked to know how much revenue came from each affiliate's individual coupon code. I cannot list them as products.

Is the coupon code listed anywhere in the excel export for the form?

    Hi,

I apologize if I was not more clear the first time.

I was suggesting to use regular/items instead of coupon code because you cannot use more than one Coupon Code in the form. So, you will be restricted to one coupon code per form at a time.

BUT if this will not be a problem for your requirements, you may proceed using the coupon code instead.

The answer is YES. The coupon code name is now available in the Excel Report,

BUT since the actual discount number/percentage is not available, you will have to do calculation -- which you can do also in excel application to determine the real discount number used.

    Thanks.
