Is there a way to set up a QR code or bar code scanning attendance system?

I currently have parents sign up their students via permission forms on Jotforms. These are then fed into an Airtable database. I was trying to set something up through them but then saw that I can now create apps with your program.

Has anyone developed an app that can just scan a QR code for a student and that feeds into an attendance record base?
