Option to use other field's value as one of the options in a dropdown field of the same form

Is there a way to take a value from a short text box and copy that value to a dropdown box as an "option". Both the short text box and the drop down box are on the same form.

Unfortunately, after doing some tests, this is not possible at the moment. You can only pass a value from one field to the other using the Text field, Textbox field, Email field, Text area field, and Address field.

Taking a value from a short box and using that as an option in a drop down
box would be a good feature.
