I got an email response, but can't find where it is in the actual submission.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for contacting Jotform.

If you are referring for the conversation made in that specific submission, it will not show on the submission itself, but you will see the comments in the Jotform Inbox only.

Let us know if there's anything we can further assist.

That is what I thought, but the response from the "student's" response is
not showing in the comments. Is there a way I can do a live chat with
    someone early next week?

    Hello,

We apologize for the confusion. A comment in Inbox will only be shown if you are sharing your Inbox with collaborators. There are generally two types of comments you can receive within your Inbox: Inline Comments and General Comments.

Inline Comments are comments that were, when hovering your mouse to a certain field, will show the comment icon and you or your team click it to comment.

General Comments are comments that were added by clicking on the top bar, "Comment" option.

If you are receiving your user reply via your email instead of using the two methods mentioned above, then you will not be able to see your user's reply within the Inbox.

We currently are unable to assist via live chat, however we will be more than happy to assist you via this support system.

When you say "user", is this someone who has login access to jotform, or just someone who has completed a form?

    Hello,

The user I am referring to is the responder who has filled your form and sent their submission to you.

Let us know if it's still confusing so we can try to rephrase it for you.
