Calculated field not calculating when imported into table

I have imported some records into a table. The table has a calculated field called "Charge Calculation". After importing the records, the charge calculation field does not calculate. Is there a way to update this field by hand?

I know that I can edit the record, which brings up the form and upon re-submitting the field gets calculated properly. The issue is that editing the entry leads to several fields not being pre-populated during the switch from table to form. This leads to issues with the forms validation on required fields, so I cannot submit without re-keying in the info. For instance, if you clone my form/table and go into the submissions view and find the "bobby krebs jr" submission. You will see that there is a data value in Working Trucks Subclass column of "Company owned". If you edit the entry, that value is lost/empty in the form.

Please let me know the best way to proceed to get the calculated field updated. Thanks.

    Hi, Toby!

After further investigation, could you please check all the columns' names who are missing data?

I have cleared your forms cache, and I kindly ask you to import the data once again and check if the issue persists.

We look forward to your response.

    Thank you!

The issue remains and I've actually realized additional broken functionality. For instance, trying to edit a record in tables:

If Street Address Line 2 is blank, all of the other fields in the "address matrix" move back by 1 field, so country goes to zip code, zip code goes to state, etc.

Several submitted fields are not remembered going from the table to editing the form. For my form, this affects "Working Truck Sub-Class" and intermittently "Interior Sub-Class".

    Hi, Toby!

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

After further checking, we could not see the calculation you refer to. If we create a new Formula column, we have the Edit Formula button below. But we don't have such an option on the formulas you already made on the table.

On that note, could you please confirm what formula you are using? We kindly suggest trying editing the affected submissions, which are formed in this way: jotform.com/edit/{submissionID}.

We look forward to your response.

    Thank you!

The calculated form is "Charge Calculation". I have since had to go back and edit every submission so that the form will calculate that field. Upon editing, all of the address fields have moved around (since most do not have a "Street Address Line 2") and some data is not populated to the form as you edit the submission.

    Hi there,

Thank you for giving us an update. I reviewed all entries on your submission table, I cross referenced the value on Charge Calculation with the fields it's calculating and so far, all data on Charge Calculation column are correct.

Other the other hand, can you send us a screenshot of the issue on the address fields when editing the submission because I initiated an edit myself and I did not encounter any issue. I both the edit link,
https://www.jotform.com/edit/{SubmissionID} and the Edit Entry option within the submission table and all inputs on the address fields are in place. Also please provide us with the submission ID of the affected entries

    Although, there's a chance this is a browser issue, please also try the following;

    • Update your browser if needed
    • Clear you browser caches
    • Use another browser
    • Try a private browser(Incognito)
    • Use another device if possible

Please let us know if the issue persists or if you need further assistance. Thank you!
