Hi, the query is as per the subject.

For example, I want to add a postage tracking number in this field after customer placed the order. How do I go about doing that?

    Hello Yijun,

Thank you for contacting Jotform Support.

You can apply this flow by using ENABLE/REQUIRE FILED condition and set it to enable the Postage Tracking field if the form's URL contains the word "edit", so this field is only editable when the form is opened with it's edit link, this solution will require you adding Get Form Page URL widget to the form as you can see in the below guide.

How to Show or Hide Fields on Edit URL

In the case if your form respondent may also use the edit link then you can use any other key word in the condition, you will only need the add this key word to the end of the edit URL preceded with a question mark "?", e.g. if the edit link of a submission is https://www.jotform.com/edit/5184995008825737543 and the key word the you set in the condition is "addTrackingNumber" the URL will be https://www.jotform.com/edit/5184995008825737543?addTrackingNumber, this is the only URL that will enable the field.

    Hello Harpbelle,

    Thank you for reaching out.

If you want the submission to be edited only by user, you can proceed to the settings and proceed to Clear hidden value.

If the scenario is you want to add additional widgets in your form, you can use Enable/Require Field.

Let us know if you have additional question after.
